If you have completed an aalimah course or have a a qualification in any other subject you wish to become a teacher for this is the course for you. You can gain a teaching qualification to teach in the private, voluntary or community sector by achieving this qualification.
MMTQ will offer further courses (CTLLS and DTLLS) in addition to this course in the near future. The courses will run in a Madrasah setting in a ‘women only’ environment.

Course Overview
This course will provide you with some of the basic essential skills you need to enter teaching or training in the Lifelong Learning Sector. You will learn about planning, delivering teaching, legislative requirements and assessment, and build up your confidence in these core skills.
This is an ideal foundation if you are considering or starting a career in teaching 14-19 year olds and adults. PTLLS is also the start point in achieving a full teaching qualification under the framework for qualifying to teach in this sector.
Entry Requirements
You need to have a Level 2 qualification in English or Literacy. If you do not have one of these qualifications, you will be asked to complete an initial assessment. A Level 3 qualification and experience in
the subject/vocational area in which you wish to teach is desirable.
Date, Time and Venue
Tuesday morningsfrom 10am to 1pm at MMTQ from 19th January 2010.
What to bring to enrolment
If you are not able to pay your fees at enrolment, please do not worry as we will simply invoice you at a later date. You should not let this stop you enrolling.
If your employer is paying your tuition fees, please bring with you a letter of authorisation to confirm payment. This should be on employer letterheaded paper. If you receive any of the benefits outlined you will need to bring up to date proof of benefit, ie if you receive Job Seekers Allowance you must bring a letter stating you are receiving this benefit.

You may not have to pay course fees if you are aged 16 or over, are a UK or EU student and fulfil one of the following criteria:
You are aged 16-18 at 31 August 2009 or
You are in receipt of one of the following benefits:
Income Support
Pension Credits Guarantee
Job Seekers Allowance
Housing or Council Tax Benefit
Working Tax Credit (where the total household income is less
than £17,000 per year)
Unwaged dependant (spouse/partner
or child of person in receipt of Working Tax Credit)
Disability Living Allowance
Please bring evidence of any benefit you receive when you come to enrol.
