COORDINATOR & MUALLIM

TO ORGANISE MADRASAH ACTIVITES, TEACH CLASSES AND FOR ADMINISTRATION

 

HOURS: Monday- Friday 4:00pm to 7:30pm,

                Mornings 9:30am to 12:30pm plus additional hours for managerial responsibilities.

We are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, committed and responsible individual to play a central role in the continued development and management of the classes and courses run by Madrasah Madania.

 

The ideal candidate for this post is an individual with qualified aalim status, excellent managerial and organisational skills and previous experience of teaching in a Madrasah / Darul Uloom setting. However we welcome applications from non aalims who are able to show they can carry out the responsibilities with minimal assistance from other staff. Although, this post is more suited to a male, applications from females who are willing to carry out the responsibilities within the margins of shar’i pardah are welcome.

 

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

• The general management, planning and organisation of certain classes
• Arranging the course syllabus and teaching schedules
• Organising final year examinations and results
• Publicising the Madrasah activities and accepting new enrolments
• Administration work
• Arranging a consistent student character reformation and self improvement programme
• Arranging regular bayans, day courses and other activities to promote Islam.

 

The successful applicant will require the following:

• A genuine desire to promote Islamic educational facilities with a sincere and pious intention
• The ability to work on own initiative and as part of a team
• The sensitivity to deal with members of the public of all ages and backgrounds and provide advice and support where needed
• The ability to work under pressure and make decisions relating to the future of the course and student progress
• A friendly, tolerant and friendly disposition when dealing with students or staff members and good communication skills
• A good command of the English language and good computer word processing skills
• Previous experience of teaching or providing Islamic services for adults or children

 

 

The following criteria are desirable:

• Ability to teach kitabs from Mishkat to Bukhari in English
• The ability to produce literature / dawah material for distribution and for MMTQ’s website
